Buckle up program with Lurie Children’s Hospital

Motor vehicle crashes remain a leading cause of injury for children, but simple steps like proper car seat use can save lives. In conjunction with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the ECA is helping to make car seat access and safety accessible to more community members. The Buckle Up Program provides information and training for families to help keep their children safe.

Hosted at the ECA, families sign up for a virtual or in-person training (with interpretation by ECA Family Liaisons when needed) and then receive a brand new, low cost car seat or booster seat. When group size permits, car seat installation support is provided by Lurie Children’s Hospital staff.
