The Early Childhood Alliance (ECA) partners with professionals across the early care and education system, including libraries, schools, mental health, homelessness, trauma-informed practice, special education, advocacy, and child development to connect our community through special events and learning experiences. The ECA hosts planning meetings with parents and community partners to advance our mission and improve outcomes for children and families in Niles Township.
On October 7, 2020, Lifting Up Early Childhood hosted a conversation, panel discussion, and Q&A with anti-racism activist Jane Elliott. The event was moderated by the Erikson Institute’s Associate Vice President of Erikson Institute Policy and Leadership, Dr. Cristina Pacione-Zayas. Panelists included Juliana Stratton, Lt. Governor of Illinois; Ricardo Estrada, CEO of Metropolitan Family Services; Grace Araya, Director, Community Systems Statewide Supports of Illinois Action for Children; and Terris Ross, PhD, VP, Policy & Advocacy, Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE)
